Window into a different reality

The Los Angeles County Museum of Modern Art is one of the largest and most visited museums in the world. It was founded at the beginning of the 20th century. Prior to 1961 the museum was part of the Los Angeles Museum of History, Science and Art located in Exposition Park near the University of Southern California. In 1965, the museum was moved to
the current location - Wilshire Boulevard (also known as the "Mile of Wonders"), and got the new name - the Los Angeles County Museum of Art or simply LACMA. Every year more than a million people visit this place to get acquainted with a variety of artworks of world-famous artists and learn more about young contemporary artist.

The museum is divided into several departments: Contemporary Art, American and Latin American Art, Asian and Islamic Art, Greek, Roman and Etruscan Art; there are also departments of Decorative Arts and Design, Photography and Film.
Moreover, at LACMA it is possible to take training courses in various art areas.

The museum is regularly open every day of the week except for Wednesday.
