Dongdaemun Design Plaza - The Future is Now

Seoul Fashion Week is coming! Let's see at that great place where fashion is start~

Zaha Mohammad Hadid is an architect of Iraqi origin and the first woman in the world who won Pritzker Prize. She is the main architect and designer of Dongdaemun Plaza Design which is located in Seoul. 

Its construction lasted for five years. Built on the site of the former baseball field, Dongdaemun Plaza Design (DDP) became the centre of art and fashion life of the city after its opening on March 21, 2014.

When looking at the building, you can find futuristic and high-tech elements characteristic of every Zaha Hadid’s architectual project. This building seems to be an object from the future. The most significant event held annually in Dongdaemun Plaza Design is the Seoul Fashion Week for which it was opened in March, 2014. Moreover, occupying an area of about 87,600 m2 with an adjacent park zone, Dongdaemun Plaza Design is one of the largest exhibition centers.

It is impossible not to admire every detail and careful design of this architectual artwork.

Being one of the most popular «must-see» places in Seoul, Dongdaemun Plaza Design has won the hearts of tourists and residents of the city in a short period of time.
